North Course Bunker Renovation Update

Work continues to progress steadily on the North Course bunker renovation project. As with any construction initiative, progress will vary from week to week depending on site conditions and weather. Our goal remains to complete the North Course bunker renovations in advance of the Club Championship Weekend.

Construction has now begun on the practice bunker adjacent to the 1st tee, giving members an early opportunity to experience the look and playability of the new bunker design. As the construction process becomes increasingly efficient, we anticipate completing approximately five bunkers per week.

Given the varying moisture levels across the North Course, our work schedule will remain flexible. During dry conditions, crews will focus on holes 3 through 7. Following significant rainfall, these areas can become too wet for efficient construction, at which point work will shift to holes 1 and 9, which typically provide drier working conditions. This approach allows us to maintain momentum and make the best use of available construction time.

The assembly line process has multiple steps:

  1. Define the new bunker shape.
  2. Excavate and remove the old bunker and build the rudimentary shape. Review and adjust as needed.
  3. Place a formal perimeter using soil-filled burlap bags.
  4. Backfill and grade the exterior for sod. Apply the sod.
  5. Reshape the interior and prepare for a pea gravel-type layer.
  6. Apply the Better Billy Bunker polymer that holds the pea gravel in place.
  7. Apply the sand
South Parking Lot Redevelopment Update

The tendering process for the South Parking Lot Redevelopment Project has now been completed, and proposals have been received from several qualified contractors. These submissions are currently under review, with a contract award anticipated in the coming weeks.

We are excited to see this project moving forward. The redevelopment will create a more welcoming first impression for members and guests while improving traffic flow, accessibility, and the overall look of this highly visible area of the Club. As one of the first spaces members encounter when they arrive, this enhancement will have a meaningful impact on the overall Club experience.
